Cityco is at the heart of city centre Manchester, representing the people and businesses that are shaping its future. Together, we are creating the trading conditions for business to prosper. Cityco provides the vision, strategy and influence to make this happen.

Cityco pursues the following strategic objectives:

  • To maintain a strategic overview of the economic performance of the city centre and to advocate and promote intervention as required
  • To promote the city centre as a leading European city and the primary retail and commercial location of the north to customers and investors
  • To facilitate and encourage high standards of presentation, management and maintenance of the external environment

Cityco acts in a client capacity on behalf of city centre businesses and stakeholders. The company is funded by businesses and receives voluntary financial donations from Manchester City Council and Salford City Council.

  • Manchester’s retail strategy 2007-2012

  • Operating the Cityco Business Crime Package
  • Driving up standards of maintenance of the city streets
