Vaughan Allen - Chief Executive

Vaughan Allen joined Cityco in February 2010 following four years as Chief Executive of Urbis, the UK's only exhibition centre dedicated to popular culture. While there is also opening the award-winning The Modern restaurant and cocktail bar.

Vaughan started his career as a freelance journalist and after completing an MA in International Politics, joined a foreign policy think tank before working at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, and then taking up the post of CEO of Urbis in 2005.

Since joining Cityco Vaughan has focused on meeting with partners and city centre businesses to discuss ideas and priorities, and looks forward to continued collaboration to bring forward new initiatives that will make a real difference to Manchester.

Vaughan, who is originally from Sheffield, is based in Manchester's Northern Quarter.
