Businesses from across the city are this week (29 August – 4 September) rewarding the people of Manchester with amazing offers and deals.

As part of the I Love MCR campaign businesses have joined together to say “MCR Loves You” – to encourage people to get out and about and enjoy the city.

N4LOVESU Festival

Saturday 3 September 2011 – Sunday 4 September 2011

Northern Quarter businesses are hosting a two-day free festival called N4 Loves U Festival on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September 2011 from midday until 9pm each day.

Five thousand people are expected to attend the festival which is centred around Thomas Street, Tib Street, Edge Street, Copperas Street, High Street and Oak Street. The streets will be closed off to traffic, there will be music stages, four pop-up bars and thirty acts performing across the weekend. Afflecks will also be running a vintage market.

Street party style picnic tables and benches will run along Thomas Street, Tib Street and Edge Street and there will be a range of food concessions available.

Entertainment will be provided through-out the day across thee stages including an acoustic stage, a band stage and a DJ stage. The line up is:

Entry is free but buckets will be at the gateways collecting money for the I Love MCR designated charities – Forever Manchester and Reclaim.

Destination King Street celebration

King Street is holding its own celebration called Destination King Street Thursday 1 September, from 10am until 7pm.

The street will be decorated with heart shaped red balloons, there will be music and entertainment throughout the day and nearly 30 stores will be offering discounts, deals and complimentary drinks and nibbles for shoppers.

Discounts include 20 per cent off everything at Planet, Jaeger, Nigel Hall Menswear and Hobbs. Other offers include a free tie if you spend over £50 at TM Lewin, a free eco bag with £30 purchases at Cath Kidston, a free beach towel of you spend over £150 at Tommy Hilfiger and a free denim bag with every pair of jeans bought from Diesel.
