CityCo set to expand free PA Network
Manchester’s free networking group for personal assistants who work in Greater Manchester has announced plans to increase its activity in the city.
The PA Network, run by CityCo, will host a series of monthly networking evenings in 2012 starting with an evening of pampering in Selfridges’ new beauty and fashion jewellery hall.
Alexandra King, Piccadilly Partnership Director for CityCo said: “The PA Network has, over the past year, gone from strength to strength. We now have 300 members, and due to the increase in popularity, we have decided to hold monthly evenings for PAs to mingle in city centre’s most exclusive venues and hotels. What we found is that a lot of the members had never met before and these events help them make a connection, make a friend and make their job a bit easier as they know who they’re talking to.”
Venues that have hosted PA Network evenings this year include Manchester Hilton, Grill on New York Street, Park Inn and House of Fraser.
In 2012 a series of free events will be on offer, including skills training and professional workshops, in addition to the programme of monthly social evenings.
Membership is open to personal assistants, executive assistants and anyone supporting a senior manager or managing an administration team.
