Manchester’s award winning Christmas Markets return to the city centre today, and are bigger and better than before.

Considered to be amongst the best in UK and Europe, the markets transform the city centre with charming traditional wooden chalets and a festive atmosphere.

European and local producers offer everything from fine amber jewellery and handcrafted leather bags to top quality bonsai trees.

Plus a range of European delicacies are available, from Dutch mini pancakes and Hungarian goulash to Spanish paella and French profiteroles

Open until 21 December the markets are now at 8 locations across the city centre, all within an accessible square mile.
