Piccadilly Gardens Family Fair returns for the festive season
Piccadilly Gardens will be hosting a traditional family fun fair, a Piccadilly Christmas bar and Giant Advent calendar this festive season.
The Piccadilly Gardens’ Family Fair will run from Thursday 01 December 2011 until Monday 02 January 2012 inclusive, excluding Christmas Day.
The traditional Helter Skelter, Carousel and Wave Swinger, all of which proved very popular last year, will be back as well as a number of children’s rides.
Kro Piccadilly will also be running a log cabin style Piccadilly Christmas bar offering hot cider, mulled wines, warming hot chocolates and festive treats between 25th November and 24th December.
Visitors can also enjoy the sight of majestic illuminated festive Reindeer in the heart of the gardens as well as the spectacular MCRLOVESXMAS advent calendar.
The huge calendar measuring 9m in height and 12m wide will reveal a festive message, promote a special event or publicise bargains for shoppers at 7am each day on the run up to Christmas.
The first door of the calendar will be unlocked on Thursday 1 December announcing a very special competition by Manchester Arndale running throughout December, and Santa will personally call the winner on Friday 23 December with the good news.
Manchester Arndale will also help celebrate the first day of advent with entertainment from 1pm in Piccadilly Gardens – including the Inspire Gospel Choir – and throughout the afternoon.
The fair will be open daily 11am – 9.30pm and the Piccadilly Christmas bar will be open daily 11am – 10pm until December 24th.
(NOTE; Fair Closed Christmas Day. Early closing Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, New Years Day 6pm)
