NCP staff to help out at Manchester Garden City Autumn spruce-up event
NCP, the UK’s largest car park provider, will be helping out on Thursday 25 October at our latest Manchester Garden City event. Over 60 NCP volunteers will be particpating, including Managing Director Duncan Bowins and Head of Manchester Operations, Rob England.
To support the CityCo event, NCP teams will be tackling outside spaces around their car parks, as well as Manchester Garden City sites. They have all been allocated places to attend, which include Smithfield’s Estate, Piccadilly Basin and Jacksons Warehouse. The teams will be tackling overgrown vegetation, litter picking, clearing raised beds and installing new Grow Boxes.
Rob England commented: “My team suggested that we provided support for CityCo’s event to help clean up our streets, and we asked our staff to volunteer. We have been amazed at the amount of employees who have offered time to this cause. We have an action plan at the ready and we are delighted to be able to help. We look forward to viewing the before and after photos.”
Gary Ellis, Operations Director for CityCo, Manchester’s city centre management company said: “There are about 60 NCP staff taking part which is amazing. It’s great to have a prominent company like NCP helping us smarten up our city centre. This is a special event exclusively for NCP and we hope to arrange more corporate clean-ups next year and would love to hear from other companies that would like to get involved.”
CityCo thanks Canals and Rivers Trust, Manchester City Council and Probation Services for their help with our autumn event.
