We work with our partners and stakeholders on key areas in the city to increase the capacity and quality of the city centre. We also work to improve the day-to-day experience of the city for everyone, by maintaining an external environment that is as clean, safe and well presented.
Troubleshoot
We act quickly. We understand that our members require direct action when city centre issues affect their environment or their clients. Because we are networked and independent we can get things done quickly and without fuss.
Service delivery
Cityco seeks to enfranchise business by playing a client role on your behalf in driving up the standards of public service delivery.
Management Priorities 2010-11
• Develop joint objectives with Manchester City Council to ensure we achieve and maintain an excellent public realm in the city (setting standards for cleansing, highways, utilities and events management)
• Launch a further 14 'Clean Teams' in April, alongside MCC, tasked with improving the city centre environment
• Roll-out the Child Safe scheme currently based in Manchester Arndale across the city
• Launch a pilot of a city centre Ambassadors programme
• Continue to liaise with utilities companies, city council and transport providers to ensure maintenance works are completed, and communicated properly
• Extend our Business Crime Unit to hotels, and scope a further extension to the night-time economy
• Replace our current radio network with a brand new digital system
• Continue to act as a one-stop-shop for all operational needs
